Vy is driven by the belief that thoughtful, inclusive legal advocacy creates better outcomes and stronger communities.

Vy Do

Vy was born in Vietnam, but her family immigrated to Houston, Texas when she was 3 years old. She grew up understanding the value of hard work and resilience as she witnessed first-hand her parents’ dedication to building a new life for her family in a foreign land. Exhibiting the same values of hard work and perseverance instilled by her upbringing, she worked full time at a real estate escrow company directly under the wing of a veteran real estate attorney while earning her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Houston–Downtown and later, her Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law Houston. While in school, she began gaining hands-on experience in real estate and oil and gas through legal clerkships and in immigration through legal clinics and pro bono representations. Following her licensure, she expanded her experience to include personal injury, all the while continuing to grow her expertise in oil and gas and real estate title examination.

After more than five years in practice, Vy noticed an increasing gap between the traditional law firm environment and the emerging generation of clientele which led her to start the Doyenne Law Group with a clear mission: to provide thoughtful, modern legal services that prioritize transparency and genuine client care. She believes effective legal representation should be accessible, client-centered, and grounded in real understanding—not intimidation or one-size-fits-all solutions. As a Houston native and first-generation professional, Vy brings a deep appreciation for the diverse communities that make up Texas. Her background and experiences shape a practice rooted in inclusive representation, cultural awareness, and genuine advocacy—ensuring clients feel seen, heard, and supported at every stage of their legal journey.

Beyond the practice of law, Vy embraces a life grounded in curiosity, connection, and Texas roots. She enjoys experiencing new cultures through travel and food, finding meaning in the stories, traditions, and flavors that bring people together. As a new mother, Vy has developed an even deeper appreciation for family, balance, and the importance of building a strong foundation for the next generation. A proud Texan at heart, she carries a genuine love for the communities, values, and resilience that define Texas, both in her personal life and in the way she serves her clients.
